What "Cloud-Native GeoServer" does for you!
2021-09-29, 15:00–15:30, Puerto Madryn

Cloud-Native GeoServer is the newest (and most modern) project for making GeoServer highly-available in a Cloud environment. This talk concentrates on WHY you would want to do this, a demo, and also some details of how it's accomplished.

The Cloud-Native GeoServer project allows your Maps (WMS) and Data (WFS) to be published using today's cloud computing techniques.

This talk explores why so many people want to do this and some historical approaches. We will be demoing a running cluster.

At the end of the talk, the audience will understand what a "highly-available microservices-based cloud geoserver" means, why people are so excited by it, and see it in action.

Although we will be using terms like "Highly-Available", "MicroServices," "Docker Containers," and "Deploying at Scale," this talk will be accessible to most people.
