Ki-Joune Li
With recent progress of indoor positioning technologies and mobile devices, it becomes possible to provide indoor map services to visually impaired people and some applications have been developed and serviced for limited cases. We are developing a voice indoor map service for visually impaired people (VIP) as an open source software. And the UN Headquarter building complex in NYC has been selected as a testbed site for the proof of concept since 2019. This paper describes the details of the testbed project for the implementation and deployment.
