Set up and configure a local instance of GeoNetwork using Docker technology. We’ll dive in the topics of cloud deployment, user interface customisation, Elastic Search configuration, schema plugin development, and authentication aspects.


GeoNetwork is a web oriented search index for datasets, implementing industry standards so it can be connected to a variety of GIS tools.

In this advanced workshop we’re going to set up and configure a local instance of GeoNetwork using Docker technology. We’ll dive in the topics of cloud deployment, user interface customization, search index (Elastic Search) configuration, schema plugin development, and authentication aspects.

Requirements for the Attendees

This is an advanced workshop, requiring knowledge of git and docker-compose. We ask you to check out https://github.com/geonetwork/docker-geonetwork/tree/master/4.0.3 and deploy the compose file prior to the workshop, to prevent that all participants need to download the images at the start of the workshop.
